Complaints
Persons wishing to file a complaint against an athletic trainer should file a complaint form with the Board. For assistance in filing and determining if the Board has jurisdiction, you may want contact the Board office at (602) 589-8352.  The board by statue accepts complaints, investigates, and takes any needed disciplinary action against athletic trainers for which it has jurisdiction.

Generally the Board has jurisdiction over Arizona licensed athletic trainers and persons who hold themselves out as athletic trainers in Arizona.  There are exceptions, however, to this general jurisdiction of the Board.  For example, the Board does not have jurisdiction over athletic trainers who are employed in the U.S. armed forces, U.S. Public Health Service or U.S. Veteran's administration.
